RAFTING
RIVER AND EARTH ADVENTURES offers a wide range of river rafting formats to suit your group's adventure needs. Begin by deciding between a raft float trip or a whitewater rafting trip.
RAFT FLOAT TRIPS
Bring the whole family on this river adventure. The good food, beautiful scenery, and exciting rapids through mild whitewater will keep everyone entertained. For added adventure ask about our Be-a-raft-guide-for-a-day Program. CLASS II-III

WHITEWATER RAFTING
Are you ready for high-adventure? Hold on to your paddle, tight. Our guides will gracefully lead you through some of the best whitewater in the southeast. You will paddle through miles of whitewater excitement. Delicious lunch provided.

CAVING

Join our staff for an underground experience you will never forget. Your mama never let you get this dirty! Explore this non-commercial cave (no sidewalks or electricity) with gloves, helmets, headlamps, ropes, and your imagination. Wonderful mostly organic deli-style lunch is provided at the cave.
The day begins with a mid-morning meet time at our Valle Crucis location (we can also pick you up, call for details). The drive to the cave is about an hour. We are usually in the cave 2-3 hours. We typically arrive back in Valle Crucis around 5pm.
SUPER activity for the winter time!! Cave trips run year round, seven days a week. Call for seasonal specials and group discounts.

About the cave: Worley's Cave
This cave consists of over seven miles of large rooms and narrow passages. This is an ideal cave to get introduced to the interesting and adventurous world of caving. This trip is acceptable for a wide range of ages and abilities. However this experience is not for everyone. Worley’s cave, near Elizabethton, TN is one of the largest in eastern Tennessee.
Explore rooms like the Fairy's Ballroom, Tombstone, Giant's Causeway, and Thin Floor Room. You will be in awe of the cave. This is a fun adventure! Bring your friends! Worley's cave formed in 200 million year old limestone. As you trek through the cave you will be educated and entertained by knowledgeable cave/eco guides. You will be introduced to the historical and geological significance of the caves as well as learn how they are a vital part of the ecosystem. We can cater a hike to your time and energy level! Not sure where to take off for a hike in the high country. Let us guide you for a day, we will bring snacks and lunch. Want to go shopping and need something for the kids to do for the day? Leave them with us! |

KAYAKING and CANOEING

KAYAK INSTRUCTION
Learning to kayak is a lot of fun, however it does require patience and passion to become successfully. Let the team at REA teach you to kayak and discover the fun and excitement of exploring rivers.
For any kayak experience the needs and skills of the participants dictates the days activities and rivers. With many different rivers in our area we can provide the perfect learning environment for the participant to meet their goals.
RECREATIONAL KAYAKING
A great alternative for exploring our rivers. No experience necessary! Rent a kayak for the day and tour the Watauga River as it meanders through Valle Crucis or the New River through Todd.
On the New River members of your group can choose a canoe or a kayak!
CANOEING
Canoe rentals with shuttle -- float at your leisure to your vehicle waiting at the take out. We will come get the canoe. $30/person.
Guided canoe trips -- one to two guides per group depending on size, we will lead you down the river making stops to check out river ecology . Call for rates.
Canoeing the New River: The New River offers a diverse selection of trip lengths ranging from 1 to several hours on the water. The New also provides many different trip formats, ranging from private canoe rentals, guided day trips, as well as all-inclusive guided overnighters.
